Every year, we are surprised by certain trends making a comeback. Whether it is a hairstyle, fashion accessory, or new look, we are sure you have seen some of these trends on campus. Take a look and see if you have rocked any of 2016’s unexpected comeback trends!
1. Chokers
Does anyone else remember rockin’ these in our younger years?! Who would have thought that those black chokers we bought from Claire’s would make a comeback! Now the selection has grown and chokers are made in different colors, materials, and sizes. They can add the right amount of accessory to any outfit these days. Chokers have definitely become a major trend on campus.
2. Black and White Striped Adidas Shoes
I’m sure you have seen these just as much as we have. Adidas’s “Superstar” shoes have taken over campus. Even though this brand offers many styles and colors, we all know which style has become the trend – black and white.
3. Lace-Up T-shirts
It’s either love or hate when it comes to this new look. People have been getting creative this year, when it comes to decking out a t-shirt. There have been many new DIY t-shirt trends such as making a cut out below the neckline, cutting t-shirts into crop tops, and specifically making the t-shirt lace-up. Props to getting crafty ladies, but I think I will stick to wearing my over-sized, comfy t-shirts.
4. French Braids
Well, looks like no one is resorting to the “messy-bun” on bad hair days anymore! French braids have become a huge trend on campus. Whether your taming messy hair or completing a cute look, french braids have made a come back. 2016 is definitely the year for braids and tons of your favorite celebrities have been sporting them too!
5. Knee High Boots
We all love our Fall ankle booties, but looks like this year we will have to switch it up. Knee high boots have been seen everywhere lately and looked super stylish paired with a cute skirt or jeans. Get shopping ladies!
