A Thank You Letter to Dunkin Donuts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Dunkin,

Remember me?  I will be completely shocked if you don’t since my last impulsive Dunkin trip was no more than 12 hours ago.  This letter is not just to recognize you, but also to thank you for always coming up clutch when I need you the most.  Thank you for the energy boosts (or maybe best known as sugar highs) that you give me in the peak of the night when I’ve been procrastinating on unbearable amounts of homework.  If it weren’t for you, I don’t even want to know how many times I would have fallen asleep face down in my textbooks.  While there are so many quality traits you possess, I’d have to say happy hour is what made me fall head over heels for you. What more could a girl want than to simply be able to buy her usual large caramel iced coffee (with cream and sugar) with just the change lying around in her car?  Thank you for making the hours of 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day a big deal (since let’s face it, happy hour is basically the equivalent of a daily holiday).  Whether it be a sweet tooth, cravings, lack of energy, etc., you always know how to fulfill my needs.  You give meaning to my shambled mornings and make me feel alive.  I can’t imagine the betrayal you’re feeling as fall is approaching and many basic girls are ditching you for pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks.  However, I just wanted to reassure you that despite the season, I will ALWAYS run on Dunkin.
