The Silver Linings of Finals Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

The week of hell is upon us and there’s nowhere we can run and there’s nowhere we can hide. Now I know what you’re thinking… there is no silver linings in this week, it is strictly break downs and panic attacks, but that’s not the only thing this week offers. There’s a lot that goes into this one week and I’m here to let you know that it’s not all bad.

Late night breakfast

When you’re up super late and it’s finally time to eat again the only thing that will satisfy your hunger is pancakes at 2 o’clock in the morning.

Puppies in the library

Many schools have a lot of different ways to relax during finals week, one of which is bringing puppies to libraries which is the answer to life.

Proving it to yourself

Once you finish studying and you look at that exam and you know more than half the questions you have officially proved to yourself that you did it.

Bonding with study partners

Nothing brings people closer together than breaking down in front of one another and crying together in each other’s arms.

Feeling the biggest sense of relief

Nothing feels better than walking out of that last final and knowing that you’re done for real. You made it through the worst week ever my friend, you did it. Congratulations!
