The Jeremih And Tory Lanez Experience

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Everyone was singing Oui and texting their potential baes last Sunday. On October 23rd, the University Program Board hosted a concert featuring Grammy-nominated R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer Jeremih, as well as other artists, like Tory Lanez and Kranium.

It was a night with my girls and me. We screamed, we shouted, we took a million and one selfies, and we got in our feels. It was lit.

The concert began with Tory Lanez and Kranium opening the show. Tory Lanez killed it on stage, performing Controlla, Luv, Say It, and other fan favorites. He engaged the crowd and had students up and out of their seats the entire time. He even had his very own Filter on Snapchat.

Next came Jeremih to close the concert. He asked the audience if he should start with some of his old music or the new. Old music was the ultimate decision. He brought down the house with his old hits, but no song compared to his hit “Birthday Sex.” Every girl in the audience was jealous, when Jeremih brought up four lucky ladies, who happened to have Birthdays that day, to dance and sing with him.

The concert ran past the original end time. Fans just couldn’t bear to say goodbye to Jeremih. He closed the show with his hit, OUI and his phenomenal backup dancers kept the crowd on their feet.

The concert was an amazing experience and I went home still wanting to turn up, despite the fact that I had class early the next day. Tory and Jeremih were LUV…Literally!

XOXO,

Kayla
