Meet this week’s Campus Celebrity, Jeff Zabrin. Jeff is well known here at ISU; some of you may recognize him as a finalist from 2012 Fit Man on Campus. Check out what he’s up to now!
“This past summer I was contacted by a Canadian start-up website about possibly bringing a new note exchange website to ISU. After doing some research and taking a look around the website, I decided that a community manager position at oneclass.com was a perfect fit. As a community manager, I’m in charge of social media marketing, hiring a team of promoters, spreading awareness on campus, gathering quality notes, as well as many other responsibilities.
The reason I was so attracted to the company is because their idea is extremely innovative and easy to use. Basically, you’ll start by making an account and uploading all of your notes. Each time someone downloads your notes, you’ll be compensated. So the higher quality of notes you take, the more money you will most likely receive through more downloads. These payments come in the form of gift cards or PayPal. If you would like to download other people’s notes, all you have to do is pay a monthly subscription, like a Netflix account. The subscription rate is $6 a month so it’s a perfect price for us poor college students and can easily be paid off by submitting your own notes!
