If you’re addicted to coffee, you are well aware one cup a day will not suffice. Coffee means more to us than just a quick energy boost. Here’s some confessions that coffee addicts (guilty) can easily admit to.

Wake up, coffee.

Some people wake up every morning and think of their significant other. You? The only thing on your mind is getting your coffee, and getting it NOW.

Don’t speak unless you’re gifting me a latte.

If you’re on a more severe level of addiction, you can’t stand when people try talking to you when you’re having your coffee. Nobody seems to realize that this is the time where you are slowly being brought back to life after sleeping for eight hours.

May the cream and sugar be ever in your flavor.

How good you make your coffee pretty much determines how the rest of your day will go. Putting too much or not enough sugar and creamer in your cup of joe will most likely result in a bad mood. To be honest, you should probably wear a pin that says “beware” on these days.

Gone coffee shoppin’

Everyone has a certain flavor they love. The hard part is knowing which brand to purchase. Unless you are loyal to just one brand, choosing the type of coffee you want when it’s time to buy some new grounds (usually every 1-2 weeks) is a crucial decision. Since you drink it so much, sipping on the same type of coffee all the time can get a little boring. Spicing it up with a new brand is always an exciting and nerve-wracking time for us addicts. However, this decision may take a while when shopping. To sum it up, don’t go grocery shopping with a coffee addict if you have somewhere to be.

The horror of The Spill.

Picture this: you’ve just created a perfect cup of coffee. You’ve only had a few sips, and you’re in your car getting ready to leave. You accidentally go over a speed bump a little faster than you anticipated… and BOOM. You’ve just spilled your coffee all over yourself. Now you must turn around, change your clothes, and make a new cup. Regardless of how the next cup tastes, your day is ruined. There is no going back. Your clothes are ruined as well as your mood. Hasta la vista to your happiness.

Are iced coffees magic?

Besides being in love with coffee, us java junkies all have something else in common: crashing. The closer it gets to 2 p.m., the less productive we become. However, there is hope. Hope in the form of iced coffee. Despite how bad iced coffee can be for you, there is no stopping a coffee addict when they need their caffeine. Finishing your iced coffee gives you the instant boost of energy you need when afternoon hits. Energy never tasted so good.

It’s 9 p.m… Coffee?

Coffee addicts can go for coffee at any time of day. Literally. If a friend asks to meet up, you will probably tell them to meet at the nearest coffee shop, regardless what time it is. We addicts love our java at any hour. That’s just the way the coffee beans crumble.
