I am a total breakfast person –  I could eat it for three meals a day and be satisfied. Something about sweet and savory flavors together is just really comforting. Sometimes it’s hard to make a full breakfast, especially when you are in college, but here are some quick and easy recipes that are great for college students.

1. Breakfast burrito

Breakfast burritos are a classic and can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you want them to be. My go-to recipes are

  • Egg whites, cheddar cheese, and turkey bacon

  • Ground turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, and salsa

  • Eggs, avocado, and hot sauce

These take about 10 minutes to make and it’s all wrapped up, you don’t even need to sit down to eat it!

2. Overnight oats

Overnight oats – it basically makes itself and, just like the burritos, is so customizable!

My go-to recipes are

  • Brown sugar, apples, and bananas

  • Bananas, blueberries, and plain yogurt

  • Honey and plain yogurt

You basically put these in the fridge overnight, and have a cool refreshing breakfast that is already prepackaged and ready to go in the morning.

3. Bagel sandwiches

Sometimes I need a large breakfast because lunch is either going to be later in the day, or I just woke up starving. My favorite bagels are everything bagels and blueberry bagels.

My go-to recipes are

  • Everything bagel, lox spread, and capers

  • Everything bagel, cream cheese, sauteed spinach, fried egg, topped with sriracha

  • Blueberry bagel, honey cream cheese, and granola

These are pretty filling breakfasts that take only about 10 minutes.

Breakfast is known for being the “most important meal of the day” and we should never skip it, but these recipes let us enjoys the benefits of breakfast without the hassle!
