The Holidays are right around the corner and that means youll probably get invited to tons of holiday parties. When you’re invited to someone’s party its common courtesy to bring the hostess a gift. Although, manners and proper etiquette are becoming lost art forms, we should still learn to appreciate those simple but kind things that people did for each other in the golden age of dinner parties.

Here’s a simple guide to buying a gift your hostess will love.

1.    Candles– Bath & Body Works candles are a great gift because they are inexpensive, yet they are extremely fragrant and long lasting. Some go to scents for the season would be; Mahogany Teakwood, Leaves,          and Stress Relief.

2.    Monogram bottle stopper– Monogrammed gifts are the perfect way to add a personal touch during the holidays. This is great for the hostess that loves wine.

3.    Coffee table books– When picking out a coffee table book for your hostess it is important to find a book that will interest them, yet is still an easy read that they can pick up from time to time.

4.    Cute mug– You can never have too many cute mugs, and it doesn’t matter if your hostess is a coffee or tea person a mug will still be useful.

8.    Wine– If you’re hostess is of age bringing a bottle of good wine is a great present. When choosing wine I suggest a Prosecco because its bubbly and sweet, so it will pair nicely with dessert. But, it is                      important to think of which flavor will be most complementary with the menu.

9.    Chocolate– Like wine, bringing a desert is customary. A nice box of gourmet chocolates is sure to be a hit. Who doesn’t like desert?
