Alas, the wait is over. Well, almost over. We’ve waited 8 long years to get a real conclusion to the lives of our favorite mother-daughter duo: Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Because let’s face it, what they gave us in 2008 just wasn’t enough. But finally, the day is here!
Netflix’s revival of Gilmore Girls has been a highly talked about subject for the better part of the last year. We’ve watched interview after interview of original cast members teasing us with the possibilities of what is to come and debated whether we’re Team Dean, Jess, or Logan. And tonight, we’ll be able to snuggle up on the couch with coffee and loads of food for 6 straight hours to see how it all goes down.
Now that we’ve been given promotional posters and teaser trailers in an attempt to hold us over, I think it’s safe to say we are officially beyond excited to spend four seasons with the people of Stars Hollow. Here’s why:
Return of Cast Favorites
We’ve been told basically all of our favorite characters are on board for the reboot! I personally cannot wait to see what’s changed since the last time we saw Stars Hollow!
Luke & Lorelai
So we know they’re together – or at least we think we know. But are they married? Do they have kids? So many questions…and hopefully we’ll get answers to all of them!
What’s Rory Up To?
We watched our little Rory grow up into a strong, independent, young woman. But now it looks like she’s in the same boat as the rest of us millennials, just trying to figure out how to make it life!
Dean, Jess, and Logan
Okay, it’s 2016 and Rory absolutely does not need a man, BUT, if she were to pick someone – we’re hoping it’s one of these three! (Team Jess…just sayin)
Paris
What would Rory’s life be without Paris? She’s the sarcasm, blunt honesty, and often times, the much needed realness that we could all use. And I personally, am looking for a break from the insane life of Bonnie (HTGAWM anyone?).
Emily’s Antics
Oh how we love Emily’s sassiness.
Friday Night Dinner
What was once a burden, ultimately became a tradition. And I hope it’s one they’ve continued!
Coffee Obsession
I don’t know about you, but it’s definitely comforting to know that someone else in this world loves coffee as much as I do.
Final Four Words
Probably the biggest teaser of all. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that she’s always known what the final words of the show would be and I can’t wait to hear them!
