The Top 5 Most “Instagramable” Things on Hofstra’s Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

1. Tulips

You know it’s spring when you see the first Instagramed photo of a Hofstra tulip. The already beautiful flowers are even more gorgeous when given a filter to brighten their colors. And some even say that you’re not a legitimate Hofstra student until you Instagram your first tulip. These pretty flowers are courtesy of Instagram user, blakel3y.

2. Hofstra Cats and Squirrels

The entire campus is infatuated with the cats and squirrels that are frequently seen scampering around campus. And with the new addition of the Hofstra Kittens, they’re more camera worthy than ever! No matter if you post a pic of the squirrels or cats, you’re sure to get likes with these cute little animals. Check out this cute pic by Instagram user, nataliaaaaaxo.

3. Sunsets from the Towers

The towers can have some beautiful views. Up on the higher floors you can see for miles! When there’s a beautiful sunset, there’s nowhere better to be. This is definitely one of the prettier things to Instagram. This pretty pic was snapped by Instagram user, anandppatel.

4. Sorority and Fraternity Letters

Greeks love to show off their letters. You see this the most at the end of November and March, when new pledge classes are initiated and everyone uploads that first picture of their windbreaker. And big/little pictures are just as common!

5. Coffee Cups

Seen the most around midterms and finals, Instagramed coffee is seen all the time (like this photo from Instagram user, ambbb610) Especially when the coffee (or tea) is from a trendy place like Witches Brew in West Hempstead—a favorite of Hofstra Students. Or when the barista at Starbucks writes something cute or funny on your cup. (Even if you actually wrote it yourself. Shh! We won’t tell.)
