How long have you been involved with Her Campus?
I joined HC Hofstra my freshman year of college. It was the first club I ever joined. I started out as a writer and then held the role of Snapshot editor. Following that, I was elected to the e-board position of Secretary and during that time, my love for Her Campus grew even stronger. This is currently my second semester as President and Campus Correspondent of Hofstra’s chapter.
What is your favorite Her Campus memory?
Attending the Her Conference for the past two summers in a row with girls from my chapter has to be my favorite Her Campus memory. The event is so much fun and an amazing opportunity to meet professionals in the industry. It’s so cool to have so many girl bosses gathered under one roof to learn and inspire each other. Plus, the goodie bags are amazing.
What other clubs are you involved with on campus?
Outside of Her Campus, I’m the Editorial Director for Spoon University at Hofstra, an online food publication. I’m also a Senior Resident Assistant on campus, a member of the National Residence Hall Honorary, HUSPJ, and a member of the communications honor society Lambda Pi Eta.
What current or previous internships have you had?
I’m currently an editorial intern at The Zoe Report. My previous internships include being a beauty intern for JeannineMorris.com, a social media intern for Michelle New York Brides, and an editorial intern for TheCelebrityCafe.com and FashionWeek.com.
What are your hobbies?
I’m a beauty and fashion addict. I love working out, snowboarding, blogging, traveling, cooking, and reading. I’m also big on the outdoors. I enjoy kayaking, camping, hiking, going on road trips, and just being outside to enjoy the sunshine.
What’s your dream job?
After graduation, I hope to work at a magazine or online publication here in New York City. I’d love to stay in my beauty, fashion, wellness and lifestyle niche and write about what I’m passionate about.
Fun fact about you?
I’ve been a vegetarian for 11 years now!
