Finals week can be one of the most stressful weeks of the semester. Here are some ways to help calm your nerves and relieve stress.

Getting Enough Sleep

People who pull all nighters on average have lower GPAs. In order to get enough sleep at night, you need to get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. Instead of staying up late to study, try going to bed earlier and waking up early. That way you will feel more well rested and be able to focus on what you are studying.

Exercise

Whether you go for a run, go on the elliptical machine or lift weights any form of exercise will release endorphins that will improve your mood. If you don’t feel like going to the gym you can do meditation in your room. All you have to do is take 15-30 mins out of your day to focus on your breathing.

Eat Healthy

Stay away from junk food! Instead try eating foods like oatmeal, blueberries, bananas, eggs, fish, and other healthy foods. Also, don’t forget to take your vitamins. Omega 3 and vitamin B help with memory and concentration.

Study in a Group

Being around your best friends can help relieve your stress. If you study together they can help quiz you so that you are better prepared for your exam. Friends are proven to be great anti-stressors

Listen to Music

Try listening to classical music or any type of soothing music while you study. Listening to your favorite songs can help keep you calm.
