Campus Cutie: Hanna Rissanen

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Helsinki chapter.

Major: Sociology

Year: Third

Interests: I keep trying different sports and ways of working out. I would like to find my thing but haven’t found that yet.

How do you like your coffee/tea?

I drink loads of filter coffee with milk.

Why you study what you study?

I’m very interested in social issues. And nowadays when I’m more into my studies I understand that sociology is everywhere.

How would other people describe you in one word?

Hmm… I have no idea! I hope that they would describe me as a calm zen-person.

Who would play you in a movie and what genre would the movie be?

The one playing me would definitely be the Finnish comedian Aku Hirviniemi. The genre could be anything as long as he’d be dressed as me.

What do you wait for most in the future?

I see two quite opposite things. I can’t wait traveling to every corner of the world, but also I see myself living in a terraced house with a labrador retriever and Volvo.

Describe your relationship with sauna (briefly).

I absolutely love it! I go to the sauna as often I can.

What is your way to manage stress?

I go running and watch crappy reality shows.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

I have always wanted to share this particular one with folks because I have found a wisdom here. It’s from Homer Simpson and goes like this: “If something is too hard, it’s not worth trying.” To me it doesn’t refer to giving up or anything pessimistic like that, but that one shouldn’t waste one’s time on things that make one unhappy.
