Lena is a senior majoring in Multimedia Communications with dual minors in Business and English. She has been living in Honolulu for three years, but is originally from the Bay Area, Cali. When she isn’t busy at school, she loves hiking and snorkeling with her friends; her favorite spots are on the West side. She also likes to read and would do anything for a good plate of Mexican food.
We got the chance to sit down with Lena and talk about school, favorites, and more:
Q: What are you involved in on campus?
A: “I am a new co-Her Campus correspondent with my roommate, Hailey! I’m also president of my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta and president of my honors society, Lambda Pi Eta. I used to be a part of PRSSA, but I unfortunately got too busy.”
Q: What’s your go-to happy movie?
A: “Honestly, I’m a sucker for Disney movies. Like, anything with a princess and a good song. I think my favorites are Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, and Pocahontas.”
Q:Favorite season and why?
A: “Summer! I hate being cold and the beach is life. Plus, no school!”
Q: If you got handed a plane ticket tomorrow, where would you want it to be going?
A: “Anywhere in the world. I feel like there is so much I haven’t seen! As long as it’s somewhere new, I’ll be good with it.”
Q: Best advice to your freshman self?
A: “Try to meet as many people as you can and explore off campus! When you spend too much time on campus, you start to feel trapped. So go have some fun! Also, making friends is not as terrifying as you’d think it would be. Chill out!”
Q: Which would you be: a cat or a dog?
A: “I’d definitely be a cat. I’m super moody and need alone time at the end of the day. Also, I crave attention but only when I want it. So yeah, a cat for sure.”
