Shows/Movies on Netflix that We Miss

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

House, MD

I would say, top 2 TV shows I have ever seen. Maybe even the best. It’s quick, it’s witty, and the characters are complex and difficult to dissect. Dr. House is refreshingly acerbic, and has no time for the stupid or the mundane. I miss listening to House’s scathing remarks and comebacks, and the

Scrubs

The first time I watched “Scrubs,” I hated it. The second time I watched it, I fell in love. This show is adorable, and filled with fascinating characters, and hilarious dialogue. I miss Dr. Cox’s rants, Dr. Kelso’s general evil, and JD and Turk’s undeniable bromance. It’s a sweet, sweet show with some great running gags (like floating head doctor), and surprisingly great emotional depth.

Private Practice

You’ve probably realized by now that I have a thing for doctor shows, and it’s completely true. I enjoy “Grey’s Anatomy,” and am still glad it’s there, but my admiration for Dr. Addison Montgomery is unreachable by any other doctor character.

Poirot

A lot of people don’t know who, or what, Hercule Poirot is anymore. A creation of Dame Agatha Christie, Hercule Poirot is a renowned Belgian detective with an ego as big as his love for well-groomed mustaches (and he loves them A LOT). Always excellently paced, and full of unexpected twists and turns, “Poirot” fills any night with much needed mystery.

Mean Girls

Because really, now, what will we watch with our friends on girl’s night? I didn’t realize that “Mean Girls” had left Netflix until I had proudly promised my friend to blow her mind with this movie. And now it’s gone. No more of Regina George, no more of Cady Heron, and most of all, no more of Glen Coco. You go, Glen Coco!
