Home Sweet Home: Why it Rocks to go Home for Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

Although spring break can be a great time to travel or party, many undergrads opt to take it easy and spend the week at home. Whether you’re bummed that your plans to go to Cancun fell through or you’ve had your train tickets booked for months, there are lots of reasons why it’s great to be home!

1) You might love your roommate, but it’s always nice to get a break from her.

2) Two words: home cooking.

3) Nothing beats that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you see your loved ones, whether they’re your parents or best friends from high school.

4) …except maybe for when you see your dog. I mean, look at the widdle cutie!

5) Sleep. It’s just a thing you do a lot of when you’re home, but not when you’re at school.

6) I mean, there’s nothing quite like your own bed.

7) Home is the only place where it’s socially acceptable to raid the fridge at 4 AM.

8) You can take nice, hot, long showers while singing “Call Me Maybe” at the top of your lungs, and nobody’s going to judge you.

After all…
