Amy Poehler

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

While Amy might not be a Harvard student (we wish!), she deserves to be our campus cutie this week because:

We’re still not over the Tina-Amy comedic tag team. Why can’t these two host the Golden Globes forever?

Speaking of the Golden Globes, during awards shows like the Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Awards, Amy Poehler led a social media trend, #AskHerMore, encouraging reporters to ask women more meaningful questions than the usual “Who are you wearing tonight?”

Amy Poehler also co-founded Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, a fabulously feminist organization dedicated to helping children become their true selves. The web-based community even includes a video blog created by Amy herself, covering everything from bodies to bullying to amazing things that girls are doing around the world.

And perhaps most relevant to Her Campus Harvard, Amy was this year’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ Woman of the Year.

And obviously, Amy is a lover of all things Harvard. You can see it in her eyes.

Amy’s HPT parade was practically a local holiday. Even Clover restaurant got in on the fun.

She didn’t even seem phased by the cold. (Seriously, how did she manage not to look like a giant marshmallow like the rest of us?)

We love you, Amy!
