If you’re looking for a ray of Florida sunshine in the impending darkness of the Boston winter, go no further than the Inn at Harvard. Adrienne Propp is one of the most optimistic, gracious, and fascinating women on Harvard’s campus–read below to find out how amazing she really is!

House: Dunster

Year: Sophomore

Concentration: Applied Math with a focus in Chemistry

Hometown: Jupiter, FL

Describe yourself in three words: Positive, Energetic, Foodie

Favorite TV Show: “Revenge” & “Covert Affairs”

Favorite Disney princess: Sleeping Beauty for sure.  Although the Little Mermaid is a close second.

Favorite place in Harvard Square: It was Maharaja, but apparently they had a fire and they haven’t reopened.  Crema Cafe is amazing (try their almond earl grey tea! so good).

Fun Fact: My dad and I invented something when I was in high school, and we got it patented.

What extracurriculars do you do on campus?

My biggest extracurricular commitment is definitely the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company.  We have class and rehearsals every week, and put on at least one show every semester.  I’m also a board member, so I help organize the shows and other events.  It’s a lot of fun and a really great community to be part of.  I’m also a member of Engineers Without Borders.  We just completed a project in the Dominican Republic and are about to start working on a new one.

What’s your favorite freshman year memory?

I could name a few, but one really fun event was the Holi festival last year.  A bunch of students met in the MAC quad & threw colored chalk at each other until we were all completely covered in it.  Then my friends and I walked back to the yard and passed a few groups of tourists who started following us.  We stopped to take a picture at the John Harvard statue which was also covered in chalk, and the tourists started taking pictures of us too!  It was hilarious.  Primal Scream was also pretty fun..

What’s your ideal date? Probably something fun and outdoorsy.

What’s one thing you could never live without? A nearby body of water of some sort.  Preferably an ocean.

What is one place you plan to see before you die? There are so many!!  The only continent I’ve never been to is Africa, so that’s definitely on the list.  I’ll avoid western Africa for now, though.  I also really want to see Iceland.

What will be the title of your memoir? Probably something like “I had to take a lot of selfies because nobody wanted to come with me” or “the sunburn chronicles”.
