Sometimes it takes a lot to go to Anderson and get food, but skipping a meal is never the answer. To make sure you are always prepared and ready to eat if things get too hectic, or Anderson food doesn’t seem to be appealing, make sure you have these essential dorm foods in your room.

Ramen Noodles:

Of course ramen is on this list. Ramen noodles are a staple of college life. They’re cheap, easy and they come in all the flavors you could possibly want!

Easy Mac:

Easy Mac is the perfect on the go meal when you have two classes a row and you don’t get to have lunch. Pop it in the  microwave for 3 minutes and you’ve got yourself a meal!

Peanut Butter:

Peanut butter is such a versatile food that can be paired with tons of other foods you might have. You can eat it plain off a spoon, and it is full of protein so it will fill you up fast.

Cereal:

When you have 8 a.m. classes, you will need something easy before you rush off to class. We all know that cereal can be eaten with or without milk, so if you don’t have time for milk or just don’t have it, cereal is still perfect.

Rice:

Rice is cheap, easy and delicious. Three things that college students love!

Bread:

Bread is an essential dorm food. You can use it to make sandwiches, toast or just eat it plain. It is super easy and great for when you’re on the go!

Pasta:

Along with all the other items on this list, pasta is super easy to make. Just get the noodles and any kind of sauce you want and you’re set!

Coffee or tea:

Let’s be honest. You will almost always be tired in college. You WILL need coffee to make it through the day. Keeping coffee grounds and a coffee maker in your dorm room will help you survive those late night study sessions. Tea can also help you get through the day, and it is super easy to make.

Canned fruits:

Fresh fruit can be hard to come by on a lot of college campuses. If you keep canned fruit in your dorm room, you will be able to munch on something healthy whenever you get a craving!

Popcorn:

Popcorn is quick and easy to make, and if you get the right kind, it can also be healthy too! It’s a good snack for when you’re on the go, or for when you’re studying.

College can be pretty stressful but if you’re well prepared, especially with food, it will all go smoothly.
