When I started my blog in February 2014, I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. Originally, I spent most of my time writing about fashion and college life, taking cues from millennial bloggers who were just getting big. Her Campus sent out a newsletter at the beginning of March, saying they were starting a blogger network that would connect new and experienced bloggers to all different kinds of sponsored campaigns. I immediately applied and was accepted into the network soon after.
To say that the Her Campus Blogger Network (HCBN) changed my life would be an understatement. I have increased my audience almost tenfold and continue to gain more followers every day. I have written about topics important to me such as health, beauty, fashion and general college lifestyle. Her Campus has given me the opportunity to work with huge companies such as Amtrak, GarnierUSA, Macy’s, and even Office Depot. As an English and Biology double major, I have not had much experience writing, but Her Campus opened the doors to becoming a more confident and polished writer.
