Fine Dining for Fine Ladies: Restaurant Week Hits Up DC Once Again!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GWU chapter.

Slip into a chic mini-dress, step into your stilettos, and walk down the streets of DC arm in arm with your best girlfriends, a la Sex in the City. Personally, I am in no hurry to grow up and out of my UGGs, but this week is DC’s annually celebrated Restaurant Week, and if I can afford to have a three course dinner at Bistro Bis or Fogo de Chao, then I might as well pretend-play the role of a highly successful fashionista leaving work for the day to meet up and dine with her life-long besties.

From January 17th to the 23rd, nearly 180 local restaurants are dishing out three course meals for lunch or dinner at blow-your-mind prices! All lunches are $20.10 and dinners $35.10. Although $35.10 may not appear to be the sweet deal of the century to some of us frugal college spenders, the average check that you would receive at the end of a three course meal at these restaurants would amount to more than a painful $60! With homework at a fairly minimal level after GWs syllabi week, take advantage of this glamorous, mouth-watering opportunity while you have the free time!

To give you and your friends a taste of your options, here are a few of the participating restaurants: Blue Duck Tavern, Bodega Spanish Tappas and Lounge, Café Atlantico, CoCo Sala, Eola, Filomena, Mie N Yu, Neyla, Rasika, Sushi Taro, Teatro Goldoni and Zeytinya. Whether you’re channeling Carrie Bradshaw or Julia Childs for the evening, or simply being yourself, from all of us at GW HC to you-have fun, relax, and Bonne Appetite!
