5 Easy Christmas Gift Ideas for the Women in Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Guelph chapter.

Black Friday has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the sales have ended yet! With the Cyber Monday sales still going there are so many wonderful gift ideas out there for the special women in your life, whether it’s your mom, grandma, sister, aunt or mother-in-law that will fit your budget!

I’ve gathered a few great simple gift ideas that will suit any of the above women in your life and they are surely going to love it!

1. Candles: I personally think candles are a great little gift for someone special in your life because it adds a cozy feel to any room. Not only do I love the ambiance a candle brings to a room, I also love the smell! This season, the most coveted candle I recommend you get is Bath and Body Works- Hot Cocoa and Cream. This candle literally smells like pure hot chocolate and when lit, it smells like someone is baking a fresh batch of brownies. Who wouldn’t want their house to smell like a yummy creamy hot chocolate?!

2.  Blanket Scarf- The cold weather is vastly approaching us so a blanket scarf is that perfect accessory to wear that will keep you warm and stylish. Perfect for any special ladies, this scarf feels like a soft-woven blanket that keeps you warm at night, but instead you can appropriately wear it to work or school. The hot scarf this season is Aritzia’s blanket scarf, which is also on sale, so go scoop it up!

3. Tea- Every year David’s Tea comes out with their 24 Days of Tea box which features the best-selling teas of the year! The box typically features de-caffeinated and caffeinated tea, along with a variety of different flavours, all guaranteed to warm the belly’s of the ones you love.

4. Bracelet- I always find the simple jewelry the most useful and beautiful, and this year I recommend purchasing a nice silver dainty bracelet for the women you love! The piece I chose was a “Sparkling Strand Bracelet” by Pandora, which is a thin beaded silver bracelet with tiny clear jewels around it. This piece can be worn daily with your favourite jeans or dress up a pretty black dress.

5. A Good Book- Another thoughtful gift for a poet-lover or book worm is a little poem book by Rupi Kaur titled, Milk and Honey. This lovely short read features a series of mini poems that emphasize the importance of love, survival and femininity. I recommend this book for any special women in your life as it offers a bitter-sweet perspective on one’s life journey and an emphasis on always finding the silver-lining in life.
