Things To Do In Atlanta This Summer

School will soon be over which means that there will be a lot more free time on your hands. If you’re staying in atlanta and you need some things to do, check out this list and hopefully get some ideas!

1.     Atlanta Street Food Festival

The Annual Street Food Festival is held at Piedmont Park and features several food trucks and music. A ticket is not required to enter the event, but it is required to purchase food and costs $6.00. Come to this event for a good time and even better food!

When: July 11th 2015 (12pm – 10pm)

Where: Piedmont Park

 
2.     Atlanta Summer Beer Fest

The Atlanta Beer Fest features over 200 beers and live music. The event is outdoors and will be held rain or shine. Get your tickets early because the price goes up to $55 on the day of the event.             

When: June 20th 2015 (4pm-9pm)

Where: Masquerade

 

3.     Dragoncon

Although school will be back in session, this is an event that you must attend! Dragon Con is a convention held annually where there are celebrity guests and programs for fans of comic books, science fictions, and others.  

When: September 4th- September 7th

Where: Hyatt Regency Atlanta

 

4.     Counterpoint

Counterpoint is an outdoor music festival featuring artists such as Zedd and RL Grime. There is an option to camp and there will be food and drinks.

When: May 22-24

Where: Kingston Downs, GA

 

5.     Braves Game

It’s not a summer in Atlanta without attending a Braves game! Put on your blue and red and c

heer on the braves!

When: There are plenty of games until the end of the season in September. Plan a date to go!

Where: Turner Field

 

6. Centennial Olympic Park

Centennial Olympic Park is a great place to just hang out. You can plan a picnic or just take a walk. You can also ride the Ferris Wheel to get a pretty view of Atlanta.

When: Any day!
