Georgia State is on the Map

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Georgia State University, the heart and soul of Atlanta, GA has finally been placed on "the map". Previously only known by locals or international students, Georgia State is becoming the place to be. With the birth of our football program, kicking off  it's first game 9/02/2010, we have landed the cover of ESPN and have been deemed part of the 3G. (University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and now GEORGIA STATE ) With the birth of the football program, came huge numbers of sponsorships and publicity for Georgia State, whose last game will be played against Alabama on Nov 18th, 2010. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Georgia State is about to get a painful spanking at this game, but along with the pain comes lots of publicity , which means, more recruiting, which means better players and will eventually lead to the painful spanking for Alabama in the not so immediate  future. But this Nov 11th, 2010 don't be surprised to see a sea of blue and white sweeping past the Georgia/ Bama state line in route to the game.Every panther can say " amen" , when I talk about the advancement of GSU. Our academics and organizations have always been impecable, but now we're branching out. If I may say so myself, this sudden advancment can be attributed to the students of the class '13, who are revamping old clubs, taking over existing ones, and starting new ones ( HER CAMPUS GSU ) for example.
