Freshmen, Go Home

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Parties, not popping. Lobby empty. Elevators clear. Rooms quiet.  Georgia State has never in my one year of being here (haha)  been this way. With the arrival of the class of 2013 and previous classes, Georgia State's campus has been the place to be. Students who lived off campus would make trips on Thursday, Friday and  Saturday just to join the on campus fun and shenanigans.

With the influx of the class of 2014, the party scene and level of on-campus fun has dissipated. I hope I am not of a biased opinion, but I've spoken to others who have said the same. Valerie Pareli, a GSU member of the class of 2014, admitted that she felt she wasn't having as much fun as she thought she would.

The first two weeks of school have flown by, and if these two weeks are an example of what's to come for the rest of the year, then I must beg my higher power to rewind time, send the freshmen home, and replay my freshman year, one of the best years of my life.
