FINALLY, after four years of waiting Frank Ocean has blessed us with not one but TWO works of art, Endless a visual Album and Blonde, which topped the Billboards 100 Chart in its first week, beating Drake’s album Views

Summer nights, sex, drugs, heartbreak, unapologetic homosexuality, lyrics prompting deep self thought, and Trayvon Martin. Frank Ocean ended our summer with everything we’d been yearning for. Ocean was said to have drawn inspiration from The Beatles and Beach Boys. This explains why we were painted pictures with soothing 60’s melodies and his one of a kind voice; hypnotizing us into forgetting his four-year hiatus. Frank solidified his status a true artist of our time with each intoxicating verse.

If you’re anything like thousands of fans, Frank Ocean’s absence probably felt more and more disrespectful with each empty promise for new music. The wait was long and excruciating, especially after being told in 2014 an album was almost complete. Then we were told 2015 was the year by many people close to him, however we were clearly left with nothing but a few bomb features that left us wanting more.

Credit must be given to his PR team for the anticipation built around Ocean’s new releases. With every hint of an album dropping fans were checking the Internet in hopes of savory new music.

Frank played with our emotions, but he did not disappoint. We were given an album that (I hope I’m not jinxing us fans by saying this) might be worth four more years of ear play. Also Endless, visual album that showed his remorse for our intolerable wait. In honor of Frank starting our school year off with timeless music, we’ll share our top 10 favorite songs off both the Endless and Blonde. (In no particular order -_)
