The days are shorter, the wind is stronger and the chill of fall is upon us in the city of Atlanta. Even though it’s colder, the possibilities for spicing up your beauty look are endless. The trendsetters in the fashion world have already spoken. Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and I have been following this season’s go-to beauty tricks that all collegiates should try.

1. Deep and Rich Red Lipstick

Fall is all about letting your wardrobe come to life with darker and earth toned clothes. It’s time to trade in your neon lipstick for oxblood, burgundy, berry or plum lipstick. These lipshades pair nicely with your fall staples.

2. Long Acrylic Nails
The long acrylic nail look has become increasingly popular because of the social media accounts of some celebrities, including Kylie Jenner and Rihanna. The shape of your long nails can vary from stiletto to coffin style. Don’t be afraid to try something new.

3. Low ponytail

The low ponytail trend is perfect if you are rushing to class or even going out with friends. Dior, Carolina Herrera, Nicole Miller and Herve Leger fashion shows are just a few of the shows where the low ponytail was spotted. Make the trend your own by choosing how your ponytail is positioned and the type of hair tie you use.

4. Simple Smokey Eyes

The smokey eye trend has been resurfacing in fashion shows in a subdued way. To create this diffused eye makeup look, all you need is eyeliner and dark grey or black eyeshadow. With less steps, this smokey eye look can be achieved in minutes.

5. Innovative updos

Say “so long” to the ballerina buns of yesterday. This season women are wearing knots, which can be achieved effortlessly. Models in Vera Wang, Veronique Leroy and Isabel Marant fashion shows donned this hairstyle this Fall.

Based on fashion shows for this season, the consensus is that effortless beauty is “in.” We hope these tips give you inspiration for your fall beauty looks.
