Being a Zag Fan as Told by Parks & Rec

It has been a rollercoaster of a year for Gonzaga basketball – last remaining undefeated team in the nation, four weeks as the #1 ranked team in the polls, and the first trip to the Final Four in school history – and they’ve taken us all along for the ride. Reflecting on this spectacular season (that’s not over yet!), here are a few moments I’m sure you remember, as told by Parks & Recreation. 

 

When you hear someone say “Gonzaga is overrated”: 

At the beginning of the season when your parents suggest you go to the Final Four if the Zags make it:

Whenever the team does something great:

If we *gasp* weren’t in the lead:

Pumping yourself up for the game even though you’re not on the team:

The feeling of being the only undefeated team in the nation:

When your tenting group is so extra:

When the Zags got the #1 seed on Selection Sunday:

After the Zags took down “Press Virginia”:

When Coach Few jumped into the arms of Karnowski after the historic win that sent the Zags to their first ever FINAL FOUR:

 

Here’s to witnessing history, here’s to silencing the haters once and for all, and here’s to keeping the dream alive! GO ZAGS!
