6 Creative Ways to Wrap Christmas Presents

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gonzaga chapter.

There are so many things to love about the holiday season, such as baking cookies, ice-skating, spending time with friends and family, listening to Christmas music, and of course, buying gifts. But, nothing gets me more excited for my favorite holiday of the year than wrapping those presents! While using simple wrapping paper is my go-to, I also love getting creative with the ways I wrap presents to add a little extra holiday spirit to the gift! Here are 6 simple ways you can spice up the exterior of your presents.

1.) Bring the outdoors inside by tucking small pinecones or sprigs of fir trees under a ribbon on the gift!

2.) Add a delicate paper cutout to the top of a regular brown paper bag for a super inexpensive and festive way to bring some interest to your gift wrapping!

3.) Cut out colored paper in the shape of Christmas lights, attach them to a string or ribbon, and wrap around a present as an adorable embellishment!

4.) Put irregularly shaped items in a cute tartan bag for a rustic twist on traditional gift wrapping. I got the bag shown below from the Target Dollar Section!

5.) Cut out the silhouette of a reindeer and glue to the top of regular wrapping paper, add a festive red bow and ta-da! A Pinterest worthy present.

6.) Use a cheerful holiday mug as a creative way to wrap hot coco mix, Christmas candy, or other goodies!
