12 Stereotypes Blondes Are Tired of Hearing, as Told by Legally Blonde

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gettysburg chapter.

1.  The Natural (And Tells Everyone) Blonde

This is a blonde who hasn’t gotten her hair from a bottle, and wants you to know it.

2.  The Overly Sexual Blonde

*winks blondely*

3. The Blonde Who Has More Fun

Take it from Cyndi Lauper—all girls can have fun!

4.  The Dumb Blonde

Does the blonde in question have her IQ tattooed on her forehead?  No?  Maybe don’t assume it then.

5.  The Barbie Doll

“Oh my god, it’s Capital Barbie!”

Nope.  Just me, a blonde.

6.  The Sorority Girl

Like, not all blondes are sorority girls.  Follow up:  Not all sorority girls are blondes, nor do they fit the stereotypes (see “Dumb Blonde”)

7.  The Popular Blonde

If a blonde is popular, maybe people just want to spend time with her because she’s a great person?  Do you pick your friends based on their hair colour?

8.  The Superficial Blonde

Yes, even blondes can realize that there’s a world beyond Cosmo.

9.  The Shopaholic Blonde

Wait, we don’t have all of Daddy’s credit cards maxed out?  Who knew?  In fact, some blondes don’t even like shopping.

10.  The Spoiled Blonde

Again, Mommy and Daddy don’t buy everything because their daughter is blonde.

11.  The Weak Blonde

Blondes are plenty strong.

12.  The Ice Queen Blonde

The cold never bothered us anyway?  Okay.

If a blonde woman falls into one of these categories, that makes her HER, not some stereotype.  She’s the only one who gets to decide that.
