Derek Evans is the epitome of friendly and outgoing, never seen on campus without a big grin and a relaxed laugh.  As a freshman at George Mason University, this single stud spends his spare time working out with his boys as they prepare for the upcoming baseball season. While Derek is a truly humble guy and prefers not to talk about his major achievements, here are some things I was able to get him to open up about…

Dream job: Shortstop for the Yankees.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten: My mom’s friend went golfing with Michael Jordan and she told him about me. He sent her back with a copy of his book and inside was a handwritten note to me. It said, “follow your dreams” and that is still the best advice I’ve ever gotten.
Where would you like to be living in 20 years? A penthouse suite in New York City.
