7 Ways To Get Swimsuit Season Ready

Now that Winter is officially over and Spring has sprung, we have to face the music and get ready for lazy days in the sun, swimsuit season, and (if you’re lucky enough) no class! I’m all for summer coming, but I dread bikini shopping. Here’s some tips to make sure that you have the best experience finding that perfect swimsuit and rocking it on the beach, too!

1. GET THE RIGHT FIT

There is nothing more unflattering than a bathing suit two sizes to small! Make sure you are comfortable in it, and you will feel great rocking it! Remember, no one knows the size of your swimsuit, just how awesome you look in it!

2. FIND A WORKOUT BUDDY

Chances are that you are not the only one who wants to be a tad slimmer for summer! Get your phone, text your best friend, make a schedule to hit the gym, and motivate each other!

 

3. FIVE FOR FIVE

I’m definitely one who does not do super crazy diets, so when I do actually try to one, I always end up failing. I have found that, luckily, that is not the only way to slim down! Start off easy by simply substituting some sugary snacks for some healthier ones, like bananas or almonds.

4. STAY HYDRATED

Another good solution to weight loss, is substituting sugary soda with some ice-cold water! Not only will it slim you down, but it also does wonders for your skin, and will give you a fresh, summertime glow!

5. GET THE RIGHT SUNBLOCK

This is possibly the most important one on the list. I know a dark tan is ideal, but it’s more important to be safe ladies! Get some sunblock that will protect your skin and allow you to bask in the sun for long periods of time! Broad-spectrum sunblock with at least SPF 30 is the best! If you’re super concerned about hitting the beach and being pale, opt for a natural-looking bronzer instead of a tanning bed membership.

6. YOGA

This is my personal favorite! Get flexible and destress with morning yoga! You’ll be able to get that bikini bod while starting off your day with a stress free and positive attitude.

7. HAVE FUN

Pack a bag, hit the road with your closest friends, get away from classes and homework, and make some memories! Most importantly, rock that swimsuit you’ve been dying to show off!
