Now that it’s finally December, we can all start blasting Christmas music and celebrate the holiday season however we want without being judged (even though I’ve been listening to Christmas music and drinking peppermint mochas since Thanksgiving). As we start attending tacky sweater parties and giving gifts to friends and neighbors, we may find ourselves in need of some sweet treats to share with all of our loved ones. Holiday cookies and candies are always wonderful gifts, so check out these five delicious holiday dessert recipes that your friends and families are sure to love.

1. Holiday Cut-Out Sugar Cookies (Sally’s Baking Addiction)

Out of all of the sugar cookie recipes I’ve tried, this one has been my favorite. They were a hit – I baked three batches last year! Everyone loves a good old fashioned decorated sugar cookie this time of year.

2. White Chocolate Trash Snack Mix (Dinner Then Dessert)

This snack mix has everything you could ever dream of:  pretzels, Chex cereal, m&ms and peanuts, all coated in white chocolate. It’s the perfect combination of salty and sweet, and it’s a wonderful gift to give neighbors, family and friends! But be careful, this stuff is seriously addicting.

3. Peppermint Brownies (Bakerita)

These brownies are so rich and chocolatey, and the hint of peppermint adds the perfect holiday touch. They will send your tastebuds into heaven!

4. Hot Cocoa Cookies (Fork Knife Swoon)

Now you can have your hot cocoa and eat it, too! These cookies are delicious enough on their own, but adding the marshmallow on top halfway through baking makes them even more irresistable.

5. Peppermint Bark (Sally’s Baking Addiction)

Why buy Peppermint Bark at the store when you could make it at home? This recipe is so easy, but so delicious! The different layers of white and semisweet chocolate combined with the crunchy crushed peppermint makes this treat oh so delicious.

I have made each of these holiday treats every year during this season and they have never failed to satisfy my friends and family. Try one recipe – or all of them – and see for yourself just how tasty these desserts are. Happy Holiday Baking!
