Meet Isabella Senzamici: Campus Cutie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Isabella Senzamici is a passionately involved student at the Florida State University who is both intelligent and talented. As an a cappella singer, twin, and Jennifer Lawrence fan, Isabella has a lot of greatness to bring to the table!

Name: Isabella Senzamici

Year in college: Junior

Hometown: Clermont, FL

Major: Editing, Writing and Media

Organizations involved with on campus: Best Buddies, Acaphiliacs A Cappella, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Southern Scholarship Foundation

Her Campus (HC): Why are the organizations you are involved with on campus important to you?

Isabella Senzamici (IS): I value each and every organization I’m a part of on campus. Through them, I have gained some of the most valuable relationships, assets, and knowledge that I have ever had. I didn’t come to college just to take classes, but to become part of a community that helps me grow socially, intellectually, and emotionally. Every day I am so grateful for that.

(HC): What is your favorite part about being in Acaphiliacs?

(IS): Acaphiliacs is such a huge and loving a cappella family. After being in a different a cappella group my freshman year, that’s something that really stuck out about this particular group in comparison. We all just like to goof around, have a ton of fun, and enjoy making beautiful music together while building relationships with each other. Though we enjoy winning, that’s never the focus for us, and I think that makes all the difference.

(HC): How long have you been singing?

(IS): I’ve been singing since I was about 6 years old. Well, at the time, I kind of just yelled everything. But, hey, I thought I was singing.

(HC): What is your favorite genre of music to sing?

(IS): I really like singing things that lie on the jazzy end of the spectrum. I absolutely love Sara Bareilles’ style that combines today’s Top 40 sound with a jazzier sound.

(HC): If you had to pick any celebrity to play you in a movie, who would it be and why?

(IS): Jennifer Lawrence. Who else?! I love her attitude on life. Yes, she’s beautiful, but she’s not just that. She’s also strong, smart, and speaks out against the ridiculous physical standards set for women in media. I just think I would be really proud to have such a cool lady play me. Plus, I’m definitely a goof, and I think Jennifer Lawrence might make my goofiness look cooler than it actually is.

(HC): Do you have a role model who influences you in your life?

(IS): As cliché as it might sound, my parents have served as such incredible role models throughout my life. They are my biggest supporters, and have taught me the value of being humble, positive, and showing love to everyone, even those who have wronged me. I don’t know where I would be without them.

(HC): What is your favorite part about having a twin?

(IS): She’s like a built-in best friend. I’ll always have a kidney donor, a maid of honor, and someone to pick me up when I fall. I’m never alone! And the cool thing is, I actually really like my sister as a person. I think we would be best friends even if we weren’t twins.

(HC): What is something you’d like to do before you graduate?

(IS): Before I graduate, I would love to be an Orientation Leader. I would love to inspire the excitement for FSU the Orientation Leaders excited in me as a freshman!

Sarah Christine Davis is a junior at FSU who frequently has to use her middle name so as not to be confused with the millions of other girls who have the most basic first and last name combination ever. She is double majoring in Editing, Writing, & Media and Media & Communications Studies and, believe it or not, one day wants to work in the media. In her spare time, she comes up with ways to have a friendship as perfect as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's, daydreams about creating a cat park in her home town (dog parks are so discriminatory), and updates her LinkedIn and Online CV profiles.
