Hercampus Framingham members were given care packages filled with products to sample and share with you what we think about them. The care packages included steripods, hairspray, facemasks, hi-chews and planners. Here is what we think about them:
Steripods
Marissa Rousseau: I think the steripod is really handy. It just clips right on the top of your toothbrush to make it easy for traveling. It even has a little smelly patch to make your toothbrush smell better. I will admit the smell it gives off kind of smells weird, but don’t worry the smell doesn’t stick to the toothbrush.
Rachel Smith: I use my Steripod literally everyday! It keeps my toothbrush away from germs that could be on the sink counter. It is also really great for travel! I can throw it in my makeup bag and I don’t have to worry about it. They are really easy to use and small enough that it doesn’t take up much space. They also come in a lot of different colors, so that you can pick your fav!
Amanda Luciano: I can genuinely say, I love Steripods. I got one for the summer, because I was going to be doing a lot of traveling and it’s the best. Honestly, I never thought I could love a little thing that’s just for my toothbrush so much. It’s easy to use and to travel with, because it’s less bulky than other toothbrush holders/containers. It even keeps the toothbrush fresh for up to 3 months!
Bed Head Hairspray
Amanda Luciano: I’m not a dedicated hairspray user, which is why I was pleasantly surprised by this particular hairspray. It has a nice smell, which might get to be too strong if you use a lot of product. It also held my hair in place pretty well when I went out, but didn’t make my hair stiff or dry.
Facemasks
Vitoria Bailey: I used the Cucumber and Salt Clay Mask. When it was applied, it made my face super itchy and uncomfortable. After I rinsed it off, my face was fine though and smoother than before. Two of my friends used the Charcoal and Black Sugar mask and the Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil mask. They both said they weren’t the easiest to apply, but they liked them overall and it made their faces feel refreshed.
Maria Hornbaker: Face masks are one of the most satisfying beauty products that I invest into. I’m not sure if it’s the cool feeling that the mask has on my face, or the fact that after I wash it off my face somehow feels smoother than before. So, when I had the opportunity to try Freemans 10 minute clay mask that rejuvenates the skin with cucumber and pink salt I had to take the opportunity. When I applied the clay it felt thick, but cool to the face. Even though the instructions said to wait 10 minutes before rinsing off the mask my face still felt wet and heavy. Granted that I’m more familiar with the facemasks that stay on your face until it dries up and then you have to peel it off. When I started rinsing the mask off my face it showed to be difficult, the clay just clung on to my face. Even after what seemed like forever washing my face, the clay didn’t come off. When I finally did get the clay off, my skin did feel a bit softer. Overall, the first I used this clay mask it didn’t leave a good first impression.
Hi-Chews
Victoria Bailey: I liked these a lot and they were very addicting. I liked the green apple and strawberry flavors the best.
Marissa Rousseau: I thought that the Hi-Chews were really addicting. There are plenty of flavors and they have the consistency of a starburst. They are really good.
Planner
Marissa Rousseau: Let me just say first that this is a wicked nice planner. It’s a lot fancier than any I would ever probably buy for myself. I have not gotten the chance to actually use the planner, because it is for 2018 and I am still finishing filling out my 2017 planner, but I am very excited to use it.
Rachel Smith: I love planners and staying organized with balancing schoolwork and club activities, so when the Erin Condren planners came in it was very exciting! The floral print on the front is the perfect pop of color to brighten your day when you see it in your bag. It also has cute motivational sayings to help you stay on track and focused. It is organized with little lines under each day of the week to help you see the full week ahead. It definitely makes keeping track of to do lists more fun!
