Charles Kelley is the male lead singer. Hillary Scott is the female lead singer. Dave Haywood is the backup singer and plays the guitar and piano. Together, the trio make up the band, Lady Antebellum; a fantastic country band, and my favorite musical artist! The band formed in Nashville at around 2006. So far, they have released five original albums, and one Christmas album, for a total of six albums. And this band is still going strong.

Matter of fact, they have released a new song called “You Look Good,” which will be included in an upcoming album to be released sometime this Summer or Fall. The album, titled “Heartbreak,” would become their seventh album to be released. This is something I really look forward to, as I always get excited to hear from my favorite band.

After their recent album, 747, was released in September 2014, and after having completed their Wheels Up Tour, which I will talk about later, they decided to take a break. During their hiatus, Kelley and Scott recorded solo albums which have been released in 2016 (Kelley’s solo album The Driver came first in February, following Scott’s Love Remains in July).

Now about their Wheels Up Tour; I happened to attend this concert in Mansfield. I have seen them twice before, which would make this my third time seeing them. But the best part was seeing them up close in the V. I. P. Acoustic Performance, which took place before the main event. Although I could not meet them up close, I was able to see them at a close distance, and see them perform with just a guitar. This was my first ever V. I. P. concert experience I’ve ever had and it was such an amazing experience, I just wish I could go on tour with them.

Now, back to their new music. I have only found out about it just a few days ago, when one of my friends pointed out that new song. She said that it recently came out not too long ago, and that I should check it out at some point, mentioning the song name. I was eager to do so, so I did and sure enough, the song title “You Look Good,” came up onto the results. I took a couple listens, and this tune was quite catchy!

To start with, they really did a nice touch adding a section of brass instruments into that song. Although Kelley does most of the lead singing, Hillary does take a turn during the pre-chorus to that song. The beginning of the song implies where the setting could take place; “On a boat, on a beach, in the water, in the sand. . .” which by far is my favorite setting of a Summer vacation, if not driving on the highway. The second verse implies that the song could be happening at a New Year’s party, when it says “New Year’s in a pent. . .” But all in all, the entire song is supposed to be lively, and is best played in parties, dances, and bars.

I am really excited for this new album to be coming out soon. I mean seriously, “Need You Now” can’t be the only Lady Antebellum song you hear, can it? If it is, before this album comes out, I would suggest you check out some of their other songs, including “I Run to You,” “Just a Kiss,” “Freestyle,” “Downtown,” and “Bartender.” Once the

new album comes out, there will surely be other songs (besides “You Look Good”), to be interested in. But until then, keep on singing!
