Last week, we received our Survival Kits from Her Campus national. We took the time to test out the products, and the reviews are in.
Spindrift Sparkling Water
I liked it. It’s not sweet. I went on their website, and the first thing you see is that “Spindrift is America’s first and only line of sparkling water make with real squeezed fruit”. I find that so hard to believe, since there are so many flavored seltzer’s out there, but hey at least they’re on the right track. HC Fordham got two flavors; grapefruit and blackberry. I tried the grapefruit first, and was surprised that it was a mixture of fruit juice and bubbly water (I expected a grapefruit “essence,” not actual juice). The thing that’s not super awesome about this is the juice cuts the bubbly-ness, so it’s not as fizzy as regular sparkling water. It was still good though. I had the blackberry next, and I didn’t like it. I don’t need my drinks to be sweet in any sense, but this was pretty bitter. They also have a cucumber flavor. This sounds kind of weird, because I don’t know what cucumber juice and seltzer would taste like- but I’d be willing to try it! All in all, I liked the grapefruit flavor much more than the blackberry, but I’m a fan of the company. They seem to keep things fairly clean, and still manage to make a decent drink. -Katherine Beisel
Aeropostale Sunglasses
Who knew Aeropostale decided to re-brand and stage a comeback? Apparently, not us. Regardless, the products that they sent us were to die for. Sunglasses, headbands and chokers, all super trendy and accessible for everyday fashion. I chose the marlbe black sunglasses, and love that they offer full UV protection. They are super lightweight, and are perfect for everyday wear. -Christina D’Ambrosio
Freeman Polishing (Charcoal + Black Sugar) Gel Mask
I absolutely loved the result of this mask on my skin. After I rinsed the mask of with warm water I instantly felt like my skin was so much smother and my pores were visibly clearer. I have dry skin and I didn’t feel like the mask dried it out even more, but instead it left it super hydrated and clean. -Shawny de Sousa Dinis
I tried out the charcoal & black sugar face mask and I am in LOVE. It made my skin feel so soft and smooth and healthy! I’ll definitely be buying more of these because I seriously cannot stress enough how amazing your skin feels afterward. As someone who uses a lot of different facial products, I can definitely say that this one stood out to me and I’d definitely recommend it. -Jessica Cozzi
Erin Condren Planners
Erin Condren planners have always been a dream to me so when we opened up the survival kits, I was SO excited to see these beautiful organizational planners!
