HC Back-To-School Survival Kit Is A Lifesaver!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

Back to school at Fordham means back to long study sessions in Walsh library, hectic schedules filled with core classes, and the sounds of the city that never sleeps keeping you company all night. Luckily for us here at Her Campus Fordham, the Her Campus Back-To-School Survival Kit is making the first months back a little less crazy! Companies like Poppin, Chipotle, SK Energy, Drink Neuro, and Luna sent HC chapters across the country some of their amazing products!

Thanks you Poppin, we are now totally ready to take notes anywhere! We received small red note books and packs of orange gel pens. The notebooks have a leather-like feel, and elastic band to keep closed, and a small pocket folder in the back for notes or paperclips! While interviewing someone on campus, I already got a compliment on mine! HC Fordham contributors Nicole Chaux and Carly Morrison used theirs at an internship seminar in Manhattan this week. For Carly, notebook size matters: “I needed something small that I could carry around the busy conference and this Poppin notebook was perfect!”

Not sure if Her Campus read our minds, but, the orange gel pens that came in our survival kit are seriously perfect for the month of October. Contributing writer Olivia Caponigro is notorious for decorating her academic planner with holiday and birthday reminders. She was overly excited about the pens: “Orange is my favorite color, but that’s beside the point. I now have a pen to decorate my agenda for Halloween!” All colors aside, the pens “make notetaking more fun,” according to contributing writer Julie Tortora. As our very own Steph Scrafano put it, “the Poppin notebooks and pens are adorable!”

When we’re not in class taking notes, us Fordham collegiettes are on the go! From work to internships to club meetings, who has time to eat or sleep? Luckily we got the hook up with Luna bars and Neuro sonic drinks. The mini nutrition bars are just right for an in-between-class snack! Julie thinks the white chocolate macadamia nut bar she ate was “really yummy; it tastes more like a dessert than a protein bar!” Well you heard her!

As Campus Correspondent of HC Fordham I have a lot of responsibilities to attain to. My new Her Campus clip board will help me keep meetings on task. The HC window sticker looks great in our Walsh apartment, meanwhile the procrastinating Audrey sticker makes me feel a lot less guilty about taking “study breaks.” Usually when I start my homework assignments I can’t find the energy to focus, but one bottle of neuro sonic and my head was in the game. The light carbonation and subtle berry flavor are refreshing! Warning, I drank mine at 11:00 p.m. and it took me a while to fall asleep because I didn’t realize that the drink was caffiinated. Besides the surprise caffine boost, it really did help me focus! If I need even more energy, I’ll be sure to drink an SK energy shot!

Living with a Chipotle addict is always interesting; it’s even more interesting when they find out your BTS survival kit comes with a Chipotle coupon. The Chipotle near Lincoln Center better watch out!

Finally, who doesn’t love the “Have Fun Stay Young!” drawstring bag?! It’s just the right size to fit a Poppin notebook and pen, a pair of Her Campus sunglasses, plus a snack like neuro sonic and luna bars! We’re ready for class at HC Fordham, thanks again Her Campus!
