What’s Yik Yak? As seniors, my friends and I wondered the same thing. It looks like all the freshmen are jumping on board with the app, and we don’t want to be left behind. To sum it up, it’s an anonymous version of Twitter. Yik Yak uses location services to pin point you and the users around you. As you submit anonymous Yik Yak, short sentences very similar to that of a tweet, you are shown a feed of Yik Yaks around you. So, when you’re on Fordham Wifi, and download the app, you can read everyone’s “secret” thoughts on campus. As you can imagine, Yik Yak at Fordham is both interesting and addicting. We’ve pulled our favorite Yik Yaks from last month to convince you to download the app yourself if you haven’t already.
