The South Beach Wine and Food Festival wrapped up its events this past weekend. At the event, there are foods, wines and spirits crafted by the most renowned chefs and producers. So, to answer your question- yes, you pay a fee and eat and drink at Miami Beach.
One of its hosts is FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. The money raised at the event supports the educational programs in the hospitality department.
To date, the event has raised about $20 million. That money helps fund construction, scholarships and more.
FIU students also volunteer at the event. They work alongside famous chefs and get a glimpse at event planning, logistics, operations, public relations and marketing.
