What organizations are you involved in on campus?

I am a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and currently a member of LEAD Team, which entitles being a facilitator for the Academy of Leaders Retreat as well as helping students get involved on campus and helping with leadership development. I’m also on the IFC Executive Board as the Vice President of Administration. Last but not least I am also the sorority Sweetheart for Alpha Xi Delta.

What made you want to be apart of these organizations?

What made me be part of these involvements started from when I became a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. What I loved about it was the aspect of further developing myself as person and to be a balanced man, spiritually, academically and physically. That was pretty much my main motivation for my involvements. When I attended the Academy of Leaders retreat and become a LEAD Team member is what solidified that my main passion is helping others achieve success and develop as student leaders, which drove me to my own success as well.

What has been your most memorable moment at FIU?

This is hard for me cause I’ve had several and its hard to narrow it down to one, so I’m going to say two! Definitely one of my memorable moments was being named Sweetheart for Alpha Xi Delta. I’ve been blessed to share good times with them and have received much love and support. They will always have same from me! Lastly, it would HAVE to be my year of being on LEAD Team. It wasn’t much a team but more of a family accomplishing all our tasks. Seeing growth in ourselves since we started, as well as our campers from AOL was such a humbling experience.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years I hope to see myself in the administrative business of a hospital or being the CEO of one.

What advice would you give to fellow students?

Keep striving for greatness and never doubt yourself! Everyone has abilities that make you unique and successful as long as you put your mind to it! “Leaders are not born… They’re made”
