Florida A&M University is the home of the C.C. Cunningham Career Center. The center gives FAMU students, from freshmen to graduates advice on how to beat the suffering economy. The center offers graduation track advisement, internships, resume writing clinics, career expos information and how-to-dress seminars. Alpha Eta Sleeps out for the Homeless!

The Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated is dedicated to service on the campus of Florida A&M University and its surrounding community. Members of the fraternity along with the student body paid homage to the homeless across the nation by making a selfless sacrifice to sleep outside for a night. On Dec. 2, the 12th annual Sleep Out for the Homeless event took place at the “Sigma Plot,” located between the Black Archives Museum and Coleman Library. READ MORE

'Ain't Nothing Like It'

Alvin McBean, a third year photography student from Fort Lauderdale, decided to start his own consignment business this past summer. As McBean traveled, he collected different pieces and has exclusively brought them to FAMU’s "Set Friday" to sell. “Ain’t Nothing Like It” is a community service and development business with a Go Green initiative. McBean’s merchandise is items that people have donated to him in hopes to create other outfits for the community. READ MORE
