The Snowball took place on the 3rd of December 2016 and it’s one of the Stannary’s most popular events. In my opinion, it has got to be the best event at university so far! From free Santa hats to chocolate fountains, there was so much to see and do and it put everyone in a festive spirit!
At the Snowball we were given a free Santa hat and the best festive tunes were playing all around; we were also given the option to be photographed as you entered into the Stannary. We headed straight into the ‘Photo Cave’ and covered ourselves up in props to take pictures and they were ours to keep! After getting a drink from the Christmassy bar and bar staff, we headed upstairs where there was free chocolate covered marshmallows, donuts, strawberries and many other sweets! Another photobooth was also there.
The Stannary was covered in Christmas decorations and sculptures; there was all kinds of treats and chocolate fountains with chocolate covered treats at your reach, and of course free Santa hats and photo booths! There was an outside area filled with more goodies like juice bars, a poker table, casino, and even Buckaroo! This event was full of things to see, do, and enjoy and was by far the best event of the year!
The Stannary team did a great job with the Snowball; there was stuff there if you needed it and was easily accessible. Nothing seemed to go wrong and everyone was just having an amazing time and the atmosphere was incredible!
The 90s party is the next Stannary event and my expectations are high after the Snowball.
