Alex and Ani’s Harry Potter Line is Truly Magical

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Us muggles still remember the excitement of waiting for the Harry Potter books and movies to be released. There is nothing more magical than the world Harry lived in, and to be honest, we still haven’t gotten over the fact that we never got our Hogwarts acceptance letters in the mail!

Although we may not be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we can at least look more magical thanks to Alex and Ani’s new Harry Potter collection. Alex and Ani has collaborated with other fun companies, like Disney, in the past and now has released a line honoring the Boy Who Lived. Prepare to be ~enchanted~ by these adorable jewelry pieces.

The Deathly Hallows

“…three objects, or Hallows, which, if united, will make the possessor master of Death.”

Xenophilius Lovegood

The Deathly Hallows were definitely a significant part of the Harry Potter world. The Elder Wand, Invisibility Cloak, and Resurrection Stone were all retrieved from the clutches of Voldemort by everyone’s favorite wizard, Harry Potter. While Alex and Ani does not have the actual Deathly Hallows (so no one will be becoming the master of death), they do have the symbol that resembles the three items in some pieces from the collection. What Harry Potter fan wouldn’t adore these bracelets and necklaces? They are definitely ~to die for.~

Hogwarts Crest

Show your pride for your favorite magical school! The Hogwarts Crest contains the symbol for each of the Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff (your’s truly is a proud Hufflepuff). Available in necklaces and bangles, you can sport jewelry that is subtle enough to go with any outfit, while pretending that you are a Hogwarts alum.

Lumos

The spell that we saw the most in the books and movies: Lumos. J.K. Rowling, being the literary master that she is, has proven that lumos was more than just a spell. Lumos, the spell that gives light to the witch or wizard that casts it, has become a symbol for finding the light in life. As Albus Dumbledore once said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.”

Lightning Bolt and Glasses

What could be more iconic than Harry’s glasses and scar? You can now keep the Boy Who Lived with you, with the new rings and earrings at Alex and Ani because who doesn’t love Harry? Okay, maybe you wouldn’t if you’re a Death Eater.

I know I cannot wait to get my hands on these pieces! Here’s to looking more magical with the help of our favorite wizard!
