8 Times The Breakfast Club Influenced Our Lives

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

The Breakfast Club, is a classic 80’s film about five high school students from different social groups that all meet in Saturday detention. The proctor of the Saturday detention asks the students to write a 1,000-word essay answering the question, “Who do you think you are?” February 15 marked the film’s 30th anniversary, so here are some ways The Breakfast Club influenced our lives and taught us about friendship.

1. It’s okay to not know who you are yet. 2.  It’s okay to be weird.

3. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

4.  Nobody’s perfect.

5. We shouldn’t care what other people think.

6. Boys have a funny way of expressing their feelings.

7. Growing up is inevitable, but bittersweet.

8. Don’t mess with the Stag, or you’ll get the antlers.
