Name: Ryan Paulekas

Year: 2019

HC: Intended major?

RP: Double major in government and business.

HC: Campus activities?

RP: I’m a double bass in orchestra and philharmonia, VP of the F&M freshman class, varsity coxswain on the crew team, and a member of the Chessmen (F&M’s very talented all male a capella group.)

HC: Ideal date?

RP: I’m a dinner date kinda guy. After going out for the dinner date, I like to go for walks; there are a couple good spots in my town that are prime for walks, especially for watching sunsets and stuff like that.

HC: Relationship status?

RP: Single

HC: Fun fact about yourself?

RP: I’ve raced in the biggest regatta in the world.

HC: Nicest thing someone has done for you?

RP: Senior year, during hell week (the week before the musical opens) my friend randomly gave me a box of candy with two of my fave candies – milky ways and skittles.

HC: Favorite book?

RP: Germinal by Émile Zola

HC: Most played song on IPod?

RP: Well, I use Spotify. It’s definitely Billy Joel, probably For the Longest Time.

HC: Female turnoff?

RP: Oh God, if a girl smells bad that’s probably the biggest one for me. If her perfume doesn’t smell good, that’s not good.

HC: Fave movie?

RP: The King’s Speech, it won best picture a couple of years ago. Just a really, really, good movie.

HC: Who inspires you?

RP: I would say my parents; I have a brother and a sister, and my parents have been able to take us through tough and good times without us really knowing.

HC: What are your life goals?

RP: I want to be a successful businessman, and then I want to go into politics with the end goal of perhaps being the governor of a state, but definitely a state level congressman.

HC: Most attractive quality in a girl?

RP: I look for a girl who has people skills; I’m a talkative kinda guy, so I wanna be in a relationship with a talkative kinda girl.

HC: Text or call?

RP: I’m a call kinda guy. I’m really not good at texting; I’m better talking to people.

HC: First thing you notice about a girl?

RP: The way they smile and laugh.

HC: Life motto?

RP: “Whatever you are, be a good one” – Abe Lincoln

Laugh, smile, and channel your bliss.
