Christmas is the time of year for being with (and spoiling) your family. But mothers are notoriously hard to buy for as of course most of them will reassure you that they have everything they need and don’t want/need anything for Christmas. However if you choose to ignore this humble plea, here are a few ideas for stocking filler presents that wont break the student bank too much.

1.    Liz Earle Superskin Hand Serum (17.50)

Give your mum a little well earned pamper treat. Liz Earle products are very highly regarded and this product smells wonderful too! It’s packed with powerful naturally active ingredients including kigelia extract, cranberry seed and organic rosehip and borage seed oil, helping to smooth and soften skin and it’s rich in Omega-3, GLA and antioxidants!

or… for a cheaper option try Crabtree and Evelyn’s Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed hand cream only £5.00

2.    If you want a cheaper gift with a more personal touch how about buying a cheap photo frame (I recommend looking in TK Maxx or Tescos) and pop in a photo of you and your family or perhaps a nice written quote from a favourite book or poem.

3.    Charbonnel et Walker Dark Chocolate Mini Cracker, Red (£5.50)

Pop this festive cracker in your loved one’s stocking this Christmas. With three dark Champagne truffles inside, they will satisfy a sweet tooth, or two.

5.    Lush Floating Island Bath Melt (£4.35)

For that spa experience.

From the ‘Lush’ website: “If you feel the need to get away from it all, drop this bath melt hybrid into your bathwater and float away. As it gently froths, cocoa butter and almond oil make a moisturising film on the water that sticks to the skin and leaves it feeling velvety. Floating Island’s fragrance transports you to a happy place as its exotic fragrances are released. Uplifting sandalwood is great for helping skin retain its moisture”

& Sally Hansen nail polish £6-10 (available from Boots, Superdrug, John Lewis)
