We're looking for girls to write for our Study Abroad Blog for 13/14: no matter where you're going, whether it's Paris or America we're looking for you! Classics Society Production: HippolytusBy March 27, 2013 - 3:15pm This year Classics Society present Hippolytus, one of Euripides' most famous tragedies. Hippolytus, a Greek Prince, dedicates his life to the worship of Artemis, the goddess of hunting and chastity, much to the disgust of Aphrodite, goddess of love. As the play unravels, we see how Aphrodite takes her revenge... Devotion, deceit and destruction - this play has it all. Taking place in the M&D rooms on the 27th and 28th of March, with a special matinee performance on the Forum piazza on the 29th of March, it promises to be an unmissable show! Exeter Hockey VarsityBy March 24, 2013 - 10:00am Seize a chance to see boys in shorts and raise money for charity by heading to the Hockey Varsity on the 24th March. EUMHC will be playing Cardiff & UWIC in the final National League fixture of the hockey season. With only one point separating the teams at the top of the table, this game could be Exeter’s chance for promotion. There will also be a DJ and hot food on sale to keep you entertained whilst you’re cheering on our boys. Xpression FM Charity Football MatchBy March 17, 2013 - 7:00am On Sunday 17th March, Xpression FC will be taking on a group of Lecturers and University staff at football, all in the name of charity. The game will begin just after 11am on the Rubber Crumb by the Sports Park. Besides watching lecturers attempt to beat the more youthful members of Xpression at a game of football, entertainment will include a raffle, a cake sale, an auction and a penalty shootout. All are welcome! Proceeds will go to the Adam Stansfield Foundation which looks to tackle bowel cancer. READ MORE |

Xpression FM’s 80s Lemmy for Comic ReliefBy March 16, 2013 - 5:00pm In aid of Comic Relief, RAG and Xpression FM have teamed up to make your next Lemmy night a little bit different with an 80’s theme! Think big hair, shoulder pads, spandex, leotards, legwarmers, Top Gun, Madonna, the choice is endless. There will of course be everyone’s favourite Lemmy tracks but mixed in with a few classic 80s tunes to get you in the mood. Xpression will be DJing 80s style for the whole night and if after 12.30AM all that getting physical has made you work out an appetite, RAG will be on hand giving out toasties in return for donations to Comic Relief.
