Peanut Butter Blossoms

Peanut Butter Blossoms are a fall classic. Who doesn’t love a good warm peanut butter flavored cookie with a Hershey’s kiss on top! This recipe is super easy to make!

First, you need a few bags of Hershey’s kisses, a jar of peanut butter, and sugar.

This recipe makes 84 servings, which is perfect if you plan to make these for a special occasion or holiday party. Thanksgiving anyone?

INGREDIENTS

1/2 – cup granulated sugar

1 – cup packed brown sugar

1 – cup creamy peanut butter

1 – cup butter or margarine, softened

2 – eggs

3 – cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 – teaspoons baking soda

1 – teaspoon baking powder

Additional granulated sugar (about 2 tablespoons)

7 dozen Hershey’s kisses, roughly a few bags

DIRECTIONS

1. You want to heat the oven to 375°F.

2. In a large size bowl, mix in the 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, the 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 cup of butter, and the 2 eggs. Use an electric mixer on medium speed, or if you’re feeling up to it and want a workout you can mix with a spoon.

3. Stir in the 3 cups of flour, the 1 and half cups of baking soda, and the 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

4. Once the ingredients are beat in to a nice peanut butter mixture, shape the dough into about 1-inch balls.

5. Roll the individual balls in sugar so that the entire ball is covered in sugar.

6. Place them on an engrossed cookie sheet. Place them about 2 inches apart.

7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are light brown.

8. While they are baking, remove the wrappers from the Hershey’s kisses. After the cookies are done baking immediately lightly push a kiss in the center of the cookie. The edges will crack, but this is normal.

Wait for them to cool down a bit, or just go ahead and enjoy!

Side note; While I was writing this my mother sent me a picture of Peanut Butter Blossoms she just made with the text saying “yummy!” I guess great minds do think alike!
