Question: How do I get a guy who I’m talking to, to want to be my boyfriend?

See, this is a difficult question because I don’t have all the background information, but gullfriend, I will try to advise you to the best of my ability.

Dear Anonymous,

Here’s ten things you can do to get the guy you like to date you.

  1. ASK HIM TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND, WOMAN!

I know this sounds super scary and out of the social norm, BUT, it’s 2017! You ask him to date your fine ass and if he says no, then move on to the next best thing!

  1. CONFIDENCE IS KEY.

If you don’t want to go to great lengths and ask him to be your boyfriend, then blindside him and simply ask him why you’re not dating yet. What do you have to lose?  He will most likely appreciate your boldness and confidence.

  1. PLAY HARD TO GET.

If they’re not giving you the “time of day” then don’t give it to them. Sometimes the best way to find out if someone is a potential partner is if you distance yourself from them. Take a few days off from texting him and see if he texts you first.

  1. ACT LIKE HIS GIRLFRIEND.

Support him in all his endeavors. Go to his soccer game, or basketball game or Drama Club Production, etc. Whatever he may be into, act like his significant other. Ask him to hang out with your friends and ask if you can hang out with his. Play a significant role in his life.

  1. BRING HIM VANILLA MILKSHAKES.

This is how I got my boyfriend to be my boyfriend. That, and I asked him to go on a date with me!

  1. ASK HIM OUT ON A DATE.

If you’re questioning your relationship status then make it so it’s no longer a question. If you are going on a date, then you’re romantically involved.

  1. BINGE WATCH NETFLIX WITH HIM.

If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will. I suggest trying The Office or Blue Mountain State.

  1. REALIZE YOUR WORTH.

If it’s taking him this long to realize that you’re a keeper, then you need to cut him loose. I know that this is shitty advice that you don’t want to hear, but, there is a guy out there that wants to make you his.

  1. THERE ARE PLENTY OF GULLS IN THE NEST.

The gull your talking to now is probably the kind that craps all over people when they’re trying to tan at the beach or he’s a gull who just can’t decide what kind of food he wants to steal. You find yourself a gull that doesn’t steal your food or make you feel crappy.

  1. THIS GUY PROBABLY ISN’T THE ONE.

If he was, he would want to commit to you. End of story. Everyone deserves someone who wants to be committed to them. If this guy doesn’t realize how wonderful you are, it’s his loss and you’ll find someone who lets who know how amazing you truly are.

Much Love,
